3 out of every 4 children have had the COVID-19 virus
New York – According to data from the CDC, almost 60% of people over age 17 have already had COVID-19. 3 out of every 4 children have had the virus.
There was a major increase in antibodies between Dec. 2021 and Feb. 2022. This happened when the Omicron variant was spreading.
While Americans over 17 had almost 60% show signs of prior infection, populations over 65 saw a decrease. It could be due to higher vaccine rates and a different attitude toward being cautious with the virus.
The antibodies can be detected between one and two years after the infection.
The study was not to learn more about antibodies but to use antibodies to measure infection rates.
Studies still favor vaccines and show that unvaccinated people are still at a higher risk of infection.
