One woman dead after head-on crash on Pixley Road in Gates
Gates, New York — On Thursday afternoon one person died in a crash on Pixley Road in Gates.
According to the police report, a northbound car crossed into the southbound lane near the Brooklea County Club around 2:30 p.m. and hit a car headed in the opposite direction.
The driver of the northbound car, a 68-year-old Anne Cooney of Gates was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was hospitalized in the Strong Memorial Hospital for observation.
According to the police Pixley Road was closed “for a few hours” during the investigation.
