Armed drug trafficker from Rochester going to prison for more than a decade
Rochester, New York – Following drug trafficking charges, a man from Rochester is going to prison for more than 10 years.
According to U.S. Attorney Trini Ross, 25-year-old Wilfredo Sanchez of Rochester was sentenced to 168 months in prison.
He was convicted of possession with intent to distribute 10 grams or more of fentanyl and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.
After authorities searched his residence and found over 100 combined grams of fentanyl and cocaine, a loaded handgun with ammunition, and drug packaging material, Sanchez was arrested on March 23, 2021.
At the time of his arrest, Sanchez was on probation after serving five years in prison, following a March 2017 conviction for possessing a firearm for drug trafficking purposes.
