Golisano Children’s Hospital designated as Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center
Rochester, New York – The American College of Surgeons and New York State have classified UR Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
This is the highest classification for trauma care and demonstrates that GCH is providing top-notch therapy, instruction, and field research.
With Ph.D. Chief Operating Officer Kathy Parrinello, Mayor Malik Evans, Monroe County Executive Adam Bellow, M.D. Chief Clinical Officer Tim Stevens, and M.D. Pediatric Surgeon Derek Wakeman, GCH celebrated the accomplishment on Friday.
“Now I know that Golisano plays such a major role in this community, we truly are blessed to have a hospital like this in our community,” stated Mayor Evans at the event.
The Golisano Children’s Hospital deserves praise.
