Rochester’s gas prices decrease by another dollar
Rochester, New York – Over the past week, gas prices in the Rochester area have decreased by more than 9 cents.
GasBuddy reports that the typical gallon of gas costs $3.65. Prices are still 40 cents higher than they were a year ago despite a 48-cent decline since one month ago.
In Buffalo and Syracuse, the average price is $3.50 and $3.68 respectively, down about 19 cents from the previous week.
The national average increased by 11 cents to $3.78, increasing for the second week in a row.
According to Patrick DeHaan, petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, refinery problems and OPEC output cuts may cause oil prices to rise once further in the upcoming weeks.
