Roc Holiday Village is coming back on December 2
Rochester, New York – This December, the well-liked, kid- and family-friendly Roc Holiday Village will return for the fourth time.
The celebration this year will take place at Martin Luther King Jr. Park for 16 days, from Friday, December 2, to Friday, December 23, with Mondays and Tuesdays off.
Free ice skating, visits with Santa, igloo rentals, shopping, and other popular activities will be back, along with several new ones, including:
• Santa’s Workshop returns for the first time since 2019
• Outdoor seating is back, along with an outdoor bar
• A new lantern parade Dec. 3 at 5 p.m., leading up to the Liberty Pole lighting
• Food will be located in the shopping area and in Frosty’s Food Court on Court Street
• Frozen’s Anna and Elsa will hold a meet-and-greet Dec. 10 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.
• A new cocoa and coffee bar will be open inside the Triple-O Lodge
• Live reindeer Dec. 18 from 2-4 p.m.
On Wednesdays, a live band will perform alongside karaoke, which made its debut last year.
Aside from Christmas, this year’s holidays also feature Hanukkah, Three Kings Day, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah (Dec. 18).
Wednesday through Friday, 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday, 11 to 10 p.m., and Sunday, 11 to 6 p.m. are the village’s hours.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the bar will stay open until 10 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays, it will stay open until 11 p.m.
Blocks of 90 minutes are available for $180 plus taxes and fees on Nov. 5 at 10 a.m., when tickets for the well-liked igloos go on sale.
Weather permitting, the ice rink will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 10 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 to 10 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 to 7 p.m.
Santa’s Workshop will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays; and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
After being postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, the festival made its debut in 2018 and returned the following year.
On October 25, work on this year’s village will start.
