Pal-Mac basketball has a special holiday custom

Palmyra, New York – A one-of-a-kind holiday tradition was observed by Palmyra-Macedon while their boy’s basketball game was in progress.
The Red Raiders held a “Silent Night” prior to their game on Friday, during which the administrator, Andy Wahl, read a poem to the student population and Santa Claus paid a surprise visit to the school.
After that, spectators remained silent throughout the game until Pal-Mac scored its seventh point of the game, at which point the audience around the stadium responded by erupting into cheers.
Since 2013, Pal-Mac has been carrying out this tradition, and this year, the school has contributed more than $300 for St. Jude’s Hospital in honor of Mr. Jim Nickolini, who passed away in November.
After everything was said and done, the Red Raiders prevailed over Penn Yan.
