Groundbreaking ceremony held for Children’s Library Expansion Project in Greece
GREECE, N.Y. — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday for the Children’s Library Expansion Project in Greece.
The expansion of the Greece Public Library Main Branch on Vince Tofany Boulevard features additional square footage, a covered outdoor patio, two new play areas, LED lighting, a dedicated children’s bathroom, a new story and craft room, staff offices, skylights and new children’s librarian reference desk.
The Town of Greece says because of careful budgeting and planning, the project won’t require any borrowing.
Greece Town Board Members Mike Barry, Josh Jensen, Bill Murphy, and Diana Christodaro attended the ceremony as well as library board members and personnel and members of the construction and design teams.
