Two Elmira residents were killed in a weekend crash in Wayland
Wayland, New York – According to New York State Police, a father, and daughter from Elmira died in a double fatal crash on Saturday.
Police say Harold Novitsky, 58, and his daughter, Miranda Novitsky, 19, were in a pickup truck that rear-ended a tractor-trailer just before 10 a.m. on July 3 on Interstate 390 in Steuben County.
According to police, the driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital.
The investigation is continuing.
State Police believe the pick-up truck’s speed was a factor.
