Garage fire in West Webster damages home

Webster, New York — According to fire officials, a large garage fire occurred in Webster.

Saturday around 2 a.m. the West Webster Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire on Blue Spruce Drive.

Upon arrival, the garage was reported to be engulfed with flames that were extending into the house.

Fortunately, all residents of the home were able to evacuate with no injuries and fire personnel assisted three pets out of the home.

Thanks to neighboring fire departments assisting, the fire was controlled in less than 25 minutes.

According to officials, the house is unlivable and five people are displaced from the incident.

Monroe County Fire Bureau is investigating the cause of the fire.
