21-year-old shot near Conkey Ave. in Rochester

Rochester, New York — Saturday a 21-year-old was hospitalized after a shooting incident in the area of Conkey Avenue and Avenue A on the City’s Northside.

The Rochester Police Department said the incident was around 10:00 p.m. when the 21-year-old resident was shot near Conkey Avenue.

At this time it is known that the victim was female and was transported to a local hospital.

In an update released by the Rochester Police Department on Sunday, officials confirmed the female resident sustained at least one gunshot wound.

The investigation is ongoing.

There are no suspects in custody.
