Record-high COVID cases in Wayne County

Wayne County, New York — According to the county’s public health department, 399 new COVID cases are reported since Dec. 31, bringing the number of positive cases to 13,425.
Nearly 14 percent or 56 of the 399 new cases of Wayne County’s new COVID cases are among children.
The number is a record-high for Wayne County.
In Wayne County, 113 people have died from COVID.
34 people are hospitalized.
To date, Wayne County Public Health has administered 12,529 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 11,568 people have been fully vaccinated specifically through the county’s clinics.
