Over 600 overdoses reported in 2021 in Monroe County

Monroe County, New York — The Monroe County heroin task force released the number of overdoses and fatalities in 2021.

The task force mentions 40 total overdoses in December.

Seven of those overdoses were fatal.

This brought the total overdoses to 649 in 2021, with 130 of those fatal.

726 overdoses and 137 fatalities from heroin were reported in 2020.
