‘Walk MS’ returns to Rochester
Rochester, New York — After two years’ pause, “Walk MS” is back.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society hosted the event on Sunday morning, at Genesee Valley Park to raise funds and awareness for the disease.
Over 350 people were expected to walk, with the goal of raising $100,000.
“We fund research,” said Cyndi Zagieboylo, CEO of the National MS Society. “We also provide services and support to the people affected by MS, so they can have a life partner in solving the challenges of multiple sclerosis.”
“Walk MS” first started in Rochester in 1986.
“We know that together, we are stronger and will drive progress to cure MS,” said Stephanie Kunes, president of the National MS Society’s Upstate New York market.
