Cannabis cultivation licenses issued for local businesses in Monroe, Orleans, and Wayne counties
Albany, New York — New York’s Cannabis Control Board issued 36 additional cannabis cultivation licenses across the state on Thursday.
Three area farmers will be allowed to grow marijuana for adult recreational use.
Three licenses were approved for local businesses in Monroe, Orleans, and Wayne counties.
Last month, fifty-two licenses were approved.
June 30 is the deadline to submit applications.
Licenses are granted exclusively to qualifying New York-based farms that have already grown cannabinoid hemp in New York State.
