Local artist uses Jazz Fest as inspiration
Rochester, New York – Local artist draws inspiration from Jazz Fest.
For the past several days Casey Arthur has been painting the sights of the festival on East Avenue. She loves meeting members of the community and that everyone feels like they are together when she’s painting, she said.
“Every time someone stops to watch me paint, they are not fighting,” Arthur said. “They are not hurting each other. There’s no chaos. We’re just sitting quietly all together in unison, watching the same thing come to life.”
According to Casey, she never knows what’s going to come out when her brush hits the canvas, and it’s always a nice surprise for her and everyone else watching her work.
