Controversial ReAwaken America tour to stop in our area
Genesee County, New York – Days after the owner of the Main Street Armory canceled the tour’s appearance next month, a Batavia church has agreed to host it.
After all, the controversial ReAwaken America tour will make a stop in our area.
On Aug. 12-13, Cornerstone Church will host the speakers.
It hosts speakers on “freedom, faith, family, health and conservative family values” but critics expressed concern it would draw extremists to Rochester, according to organizers.
On Aug. 12 and 13, the event was scheduled to take place at The Main Street Armory.
After the controversy, including threats to himself and his staff, owner Scott Donaldson called off the event.
