Due to staffing issues Pittsford CSD cancels school on Thursday
Pittsford, New York – There will be no class for students on Thursday because of staffing issues. Schools will be closed and staff members are not to report to work, according to the Pittsford Central School District.
The issues are related to open positions and illness, particularly in the transportation department, the district said.
The COVID-19 test kit distribution planned for Thursday will instead happen Wednesday.
On Jan. 3, Pittsford CSD will return to in-person learning.
The district posted a statement on its website saying in part:
“Hopefully this will allow our students and families precious time in preparation for a healthy holiday recess.”
