Funding assistance for nonprofit food distribution in the town of Greece
Greece, New York – According to Greece town supervisor Bill Reilich, the town of Greece is accepting applications in an effort to assist local nonprofit food distribution services.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has allocated the town of Greece a grant to be used to prevent, prepare and respond to the impacts of the pandemic.
In order to help offset the increased demand for services caused by the pandemic, the Town of Greece is soliciting proposals from local nonprofit organizations which offer food distribution services like food banks.
“The financial impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic was felt by organizations across our community,” said Supervisor Reilich. “We are thankful to receive funds to assist our Greece community food distribution centers in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the impacts of the pandemic. I invite all Greece food distribution centers to submit an application to be considered for assistance”.
By 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 eligible organizations can submit a form to be considered.
