Man injured after falling off Lower Falls
Rochester, New York – On Sunday afternoon a man was taken to hospital, after falling off the Lower Falls.
According to rescue crews, they received the call just before 5 o’clock.
The crews were able to get the man aboard a fireboat, then eventually to Rochester General Hospital.
“We launched the inflatable boat at the Seth Green Drive access, then we brought it up the river into Lower Falls. We went as far as we could, the river is very shallow, then the firefighters hiked the basket up to the victim,” said Mark Alberts, Rochester Fire Department Battalion Chief.
The victim had a broken leg.
