Monroe Community Hospital offers unpaid leave for 3 months for non-vaccinated workers

Rochester, New York — According to county officials, more than five dozen employees at Monroe Community Hospital are being offered unpaid leave for not being vaccinated.

61 employees have a choice of a three-month, unpaid leave, officials say.

That’s a little more than 6% of the facility’s staff.

According to officials, one person has resigned and seven religious exemptions were granted.

Those unvaccinated employees choosing to take the unpaid leave will be welcomed back to paid status when they get the vaccine, County Executive Adam Bello said.
