News No Mega Millions winner, jackpot tops $1B
New York – According to lottery officials, the Mega Millions jackpot would rise to $1.02 billion at its next drawing.
During its Tuesday night drawing, no one matched all six numbers.
The new estimated jackpot will be the fourth-largest in lottery history. It has now been 29 consecutive drawings without a first-prize winner.
Tuesday’s numbers were 07-29-60-63-66. The Mega Ball was 15. The odds of winning a Mega Millions drawing are 1 in 302.5 million. It’s played in 45 states including Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The $1.02 billion prize would be for the winner who chooses to have the total paid out over 30 years.
Most winners choose the cash option, which means a smaller payout of $602.5 million.
Friday at 11 p.m. will be the next drawing.
