Victim shot dead in Corn Hill neighborhood identified
Rochester, New York — On Friday, a mother was shot to death with 2 kids in the vehicle in Rochester’s Corn Hill neighborhood. Rochester police identified the homicide victim.
A 31-year-old Rochester resident, Genuine Ridgeway, was shot and killed inside her vehicle. Her children — a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old — were in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
Ridgeway was pronounced dead at the scene, her children were not injured from the shooting, police said.
The investigation is ongoing. Rochester police are asking anybody with information to call 911.
