Where local businesses and organizations stand on new masking policies
Rochester, New York – Several local businesses and organizations share their opinions about where they stand on the new CDC masking recommendation.
Rochester Museum & Science Center, “In accordance with the CDC’s and Monroe County’s guidance, we are strongly recommending guests wear masks regardless of vaccination status while visiting the Museum and Planetarium. Additionally, RMSC staff members will be required to wear masks.”
Tops, “At this time masks are optional for fully vaccinated customers and Tops associates in our stores.”
Wegmans, “At this time, fully vaccinated customers and employees are no longer required to wear a face-covering in our stores, except where mandated at the state or local level.”
Seneca Park Zoo, “All guests, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks indoors. Visitors who are not fully vaccinated are asked to continue to wear face coverings at all times, including children ages 3 – 11.”
YMCA, “Beginning August 3rd, we strongly recommend all members of the YMCA, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask. All children age 2 and older in youth-facing programs will be required to wear a mask when indoors. All staff members in youth-facing programs, regardless of their vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask at all times. This applies to programs held indoors and outdoors.”
