Multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Chili Ave and Thurston Rd
Rochester, New York – Rochester police responded to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Chili Ave and Thurston Rd, Friday night around 7:30.
According to the police, the driver of a tan Chevrolet Impala was traveling south on Gardiner Ave when he side-swiped two cars. He then ran a red light and was struck by a car passing through the intersection. As a result, another car was struck that was also moving through the intersection.
Police say, The driver in the Chevy attempted to flee the scene on foot. However, a group of witnesses began beating him up until he was unconscious.
According to the police report, the 31-year-old male suspect was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Two other individuals involved in the crash were taken to the hospital as well. They both are in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
