Another federal lawsuit filed against Hilton principal
Rochester, New York — Hilton Elementary School Principal Kirk Ashton is facing another federal lawsuit.
Ashton was arrested back in April after he was accused of sexually abusing young boys who were students at Northwood Elementary School.
The lawsuit names Ashton, the school district, and the elementary school. It claims Ashton sexually assaulted and abused two victims during “lunch bunch” meetings.
According to the lawsuit, over several years, Ashton had the victims sit on his lap – and inappropriately touched them. The suit says the district and school failed to maintain a safe environment for students, and demands a jury trial, and millions in damages.
Multiple families have filed notices of claim. This is yet another federal lawsuit filed against Ashton.
He was placed on administrative leave on April 8. Ashton remains in jail, where he’s facing 28 criminal charges.
