A Wayne County man drove drunk with kids in back seat, crashed into orchard
Sodus, New York – A 34-year-old Clyde man crashed while driving drunk with three children in his vehicle. Deputies say he has been charged with DWI.
According to deputies, Bradley Doyle is facing a number of other charges including aggravated unlicensed operation, DWI Leandra’s Law and speed not reasonable or prudent.
According to Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies, Doyle was speeding on Lake Road in Sodus Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions. They say he drove off the south side of the road, hit a fire hydrant, and drove through an apple orchard.
Doyle was driving while intoxicated with three children ages 10-12 in the back seat, deputies say. No one was hurt in the crash. Several trees were reportedly damaged.
Later he was taken to the Sheriff’s Office, where deputies say he refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Doyle was subsequently taken to the Wayne County Jail ahead of arraignment.
