COVID case surge continues in Monroe County
Rochester, New York – According to the Monroe County Department of Public Health 292 new COVID cases were reported on Thursday.
There were 1493 new cases reported between Monday, September 27, and Monday, October 4.
The 7-day rolling average of new cases is 216 new cases per day.
The total number of positive cases to date in Monroe County is 79,845.
Between Oct. 4 and Oct. 10, there were 203 new cases among children aged 5-11 and 178 cases between children aged 12-18 years.
The 7-day rolling average positivity rate for Monroe County, based on combined NAAT/PCR and Antigen test results (NYS), is 3.9%. The 7-day rolling average positivity rate based on NAAT test results (CDC) is 5.04% (Moderate).
There are 1,412 deaths recorded in Monroe County.
